 I can't even express to you how much I love @strangerthingstv . I had to do some speed paint fan art for the new season (although I have deep resentment that we have to wait until July for the second half. HOW DARE YOU @NETFLIX ?) I've been debating whether I want to go back to Mermay. I got a *bit* distracted by my blood sugar getting so high it turned my blood into acid that then began melting my organs. Yay DKA! Diabetes is cool, guys. I was excited about participating though until my brain turned to mush so maybe I will just start it up again, just super late. My sugar is still out of control and I still don't feel like a person yet, but I'm trying. It's nice to share some art instead of health stuff. I'm going to try to post more.

Omg you guys it’s finally #MerMay !! I haven’t participated in like 4 years but this year I’m gonna do a creepy-cute #MaryBlair style. Today’s prompt is Workers and this mermaid is def working hard at the aquarium show! 🧜🏻‍♀️🧜🏻‍♀️🧜🏻‍♀️ (Side note… I may have accidentally done research on how to be an aquarium mermaid IRL while looking up photos for this. It’s a real job!!! 😬) Teepublic | Society6

 I Love Your Negative Thoughts 16x20 oil painting  I used a limited palette for this one, only 3 colors: burnt sienna, ultramarine blue (my favorite), and white. I love painting with limited palettes as I love color mixing, plus it reduces toxicity as some colors are more toxic than others. Fun fact: siennas and ultramarine are non toxic! I also use walnut or linseed oil instead of turp or solvents these days and always, always wear gloves. I’ve been painting quite a bit the last few months, would you like to see more of them? This one will probably be for sale eventually but I haven’t decided yet. 🎨 Here are some close ups because photos just never seem to get it right. I 🖤 texture!
